Fort Myers Beach Public Library breaks ground

April 5, 2011

The Fort Myers Beach Public Library held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the beginning of the library's 15,000 square foot expansion.

On hand at the ceremony were representatives from the library, Harvard Jolly Architecture, and Manhattan Kraft Construction.

Both Philip L. Trezza, Jr., vice president of Harvard Jolly and library director Dr. Leroy Hommerding addressed the crowd.

The project will double the size of the current library and is scheduled to open by August 2012.
