Palm Beach Gardens, FL

City of Palm Beach Gardens | 10,000 SF | 2009

Harvard Jolly was commissioned to provide architectural and engineering services to develop the design criteria package for the City of Palm Beach Garden’s new Municipal Complex Emergency Operations and Communications Center (EOCC). The structure is designed to withstand the winds of a Category 5 hurricane and will be located between the city’s existing police department and city hall. It is designed not only for survivability, but also to complement existing architecture.

The EOCC will serve to centralize law enforcement communications, emergency dispatch services, citywide information systems, a records archive and be the site for the city's emergency radio station, AM-1670. The design is in accordance with DOE-STD-1020, wind Performance Category PC-4, and FEMA 361 standards.
