Public Safety Complex

Port Charlotte, FL

Charlotte County | 31,000 SF | 2007

The Charlotte County Public Safety Complex is an emergency operations facility that is able to withstand Category 5 hurricane-force winds and storm. Its location on high ground provides high visibility, and nearby interstate access makes it easily accessible.

With 31,000 square feet of space, the building is occupied by fire and police departments and houses call centers for 911 and 211 services. The facility also has "break-out" meeting rooms, radio rooms, and press areas.

Harvard Jolly completed the fast-track design to ensure that the building would be occupied in less than 18 months. Charlotte County partially funded the complex through state grants, for which Harvard Jolly provided assistance.
