Harvard Jolly was challenged by North Fulton Hospital to design a master campus and hospital plan to increase licensed beds from 167 to 202. This three-phase project included: the conversion to private medical and surgical rooms; a major addition to the emergency department with a new helistop; and new preparation and PACU areas to support ten operating rooms.

The new patient tower provides an expanded operating room area with dedicated surgical suites for neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery and laparoscopic surgery. The second floor of the new tower allowed for the combination of the neuro-intensive care, cardiac critical care, and intensive care units.
